Welcome to my new or at least improved blog. I am still in Tampa (since February 6th) and enjoying life. Did a lot of FLA birding this spring with close to 160 species recorded and some very nice photos. I made several trips to Fort De Soto Park (only a 30 minute drive south) and met many great folks from all over the US and Canada, also there for the birds. So far I have seen 2 life birds, Mangrove Cuckoo and Black Whiskered Vireo (Photos below). Both of these birds are considered "Florida Specialties" and are not very easy to find. My next two target life birds are Bachman's Sparrow and Red-Cockaded Woodpecker.

More posts and photos to come. thanks for visiting and please drop me a line.

Tim
