Rose Breasted Grosbeak photographed at Fort De Soto Park a few weeks ago. What an awesome bird.

Ahhhh, after a week of no birding.....today another life bird. This is a Common Mynah reported yesterday at Fort De Soto Park. Theses strange birds are not native to America but were introduced to South FL or were escapees that found each other and formed a population. Even though this is not a native bird, it is countable since it has a sustained US population. They are unusual this far North and tend to prefer parking lots where they pick dead bugs out of the wheel wells of cars.
